Wildlife gardens

Whilst gardens individually may seem insignificant in terms of wildlife value in the wider countryside, the patchwork of gardens across towns and cities form suprisingly large green areas which can be vital refuges and corridors for wildlife. More sympathetic and proactive wildlife friendly gardening can have an significant positive effect on local populations, especially for species in decline, such as House Sparrows and Stag Beetles. Other small changes such as using peat free compost and fewer herbicides and pesticides can also have a positive effect on the biodiversty and wildlife value of your garden
